Join New Yorker Shouts & Murmur contributor Ginny Hogan for a three hour seminar on satire writing. In this class, she’ll explain the basic elements of a short satire piece and walk the students through a few of her favorite examples. She’ll also review some of the most common mistakes made in the editing/pitching process. Each student will come with several ideas, and together, the class will help each other brainstorm beats for one of them. By the end of the session, students will be well on their way to writing a full satire piece.
A zoom link will be sent out prior to the start of the workshop
