Where once teenagers could worship at the altar of music and movies that was the Virgin Megastore, they now come out in droves to "get their jeggings on" at the Forever 21 flagship store in Times Square. The selection is mind-bending, as one would expect from a store of this size and scale—which makes the per-square-foot price of the place even more impressive—but much like the nearby H&M, crowds jam the store and tendril out in lines from the overwhelmed checkouts. You almost expect Tina Turner to show up wearing a Forever 21 uniform made out of chain mail, because the place truly is beyond Thunderdome. Still, the brand clearly has its devotees, and with four floors, over a hundred changing rooms, and an unfathomable 90,000 square feet of retail space, this store is more mothership than flagship.

Of course, you could save yourself some hassle by visiting their Union Square location instead.
